Mercosur Takes Strides to Protect Against Falling U.S. Dollar

At a recent Mercosur summit held in Montevideo, the finance ministers of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay discussed taking measures to protect their economies against the devaluation of the U.S. dollar. One consideration was the creation of a sovereign fund to be use in the event of a quick devaluation.
